Root Chakra Also known as muladhara chakra. The Root Chakra, or the muladhara chakra , can be found at the base of the spine, in the perineum is the space between your anus and the genitals. It is generally red in colour and is associated with being grounded to the earth and the need for survival.
The root chakra is concerned with survival or the desire to continue on in the physical realm. It is also the centre of physical manifestation, or making things happen so to speak, such as acquiring material possessions or becoming a provider for the family.
